I have the Sennheiser HD558 headphones, the Pioneer VSX-1120 receiver, and the Fiio E11 headphone amp (which should be delivered to my home tomorrow) for my iPod Touch. I really don't like the sound quality coming out of my Pioneer VSX-1120's headphone jack, because it has a poor headphone section, but I like its audio dac. I would like to get a headphone amp that is not portable like the Fiio E11 that is under for under $300. Please recommend one for me that does not bypass any of the audio decoders in my receiver.

First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...

A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

The Schiit Asgard is a very good little amp. You can connect this with RCA cables to your receiver and get very good sound. I really like my Asgard. Great for the money.
