Difference between UE TF10 and TF10vi - just the cable?

Hi Folks,

I have a pair of UE TripleFi 10vi's, and i think the bass drivers have bit the dust (and i'm out of warranty).  Here's my question: can I just buy a new pair of TF10's, replace their cable with the cable from my 10vi's, and basically end up with a new pair of 10vi's?  Or, are the connections to the earbuds different in the two models?

Thanks,

Alex

Yes, the only difference is the cable.

The cable is the only difference, the connectors are the same.

It's a shame they raised the price of the vi cable a bit though, If i remember correctly they used to both be priced at $19.99.

so, why would the10vi's go for $413 on amazon, while the 10's go for $164?  Just buyer ignorance I suppose...

Any idea how I might go about buying a set of the earbuds sans cable?

Ding ding ding!

I don't think you can just buy the TF10s without a cable entirely but I know you can buy a cable with the remote built in straight from Logitech or on eBay for about $25 or so if you really want it.
