Sennheiser 580/600/650 mod question

Since I've modded my Grado SR60 with some dynamat like stuff inside the plastic housing with good results, I was wondering if anyone tried to do some 'resonance' control on the 580/600/650 since there is plenty of plastic surface inside the headphones.

Just did the mod myself.

 

Low bass has decreased, mids are still warm and relaxed, Bass is definitely more controlled. This shows that the plastic frame-work did resonate somewhat and added some muddiness to the sound. This gives the headphone a clearer sound and better sound-staging.

 

Next week I have some Mogami cable coming so I can make myself a nice headphone cable.
