I read hundreds of posts - still need advice on loud in ears

Really, I spent the last months reading through hundreds of recommendation posts but still I don't know what to buy.

I would really appreciate your recommendations

parameters are:

* in ear

* i want it ear shaking, club like ultra loud (don't care about hearing loss)

* deep bass

* punchy bass

* don't care about audiophile characteristics (I have a pretty decent and linear stereo at home)

* don't care about tinitus (did I already mention that I want it loud?)

* prefer that others around me can't hear what I hear (has it's physical limits though, I know)

* used with a Smartphone on the go

Unfortunately here in Austria no set of in-ears can be returned as they are classified as "hygienic goods excluded from returning".

I started with AKG 324p. They are pretty ok but not loud and bassy enough. Then I was recommended to give the Sony XB (extra bass) 20 a try. Bass is about as good as the AKG but they're not as loud. The next set were AKG 331s. Not better at all.

As I said, I'm not looking for an audiophile headset. I'm just looking for the loudest bassiest pair of in ears. Or do I need a portable amp to drive them and get the desired subwoofer on my head? If so which one?

Thanks for your competent advice.

Off the back of my head, Fischer Audio Eterna?

Hippo VB or the Sony XB41.

I've tried them both (i had the VBs for 4 months and i tried the XB41s in HK) and they are BASSY, when i say 'BASSY' I'm mean 'BASSY'

+1 on Hippo VB, if this doesn't shake your ear with the maximum bass plate, nothing will...

Atrio M5 could be considered also, however, I prefer Hippo VB...

The Atrios with MG7 drivers give incredibly deep sub-bass extension, but they're more about extension and accuracy than just quantity.  They're very naturally balanced to my ear - they may not be what it sounds like you're after.

I haven't heard the Hippo VB or Eterna, but the TFTA 1XB (listed on their site as 3V2B) can match the sub-bass of the Atrios and also have way overblown mid-bass to match.  Compared to the 1XBs my Atrios sound dowright bright and airy.  They're also very sensitive (16 Ohms, 105 dB @ 1 kHz @ 1 mW) so should be easy to drive extremely loudly.

Ear shattering bass with an insane amount of bass quantity? Definitely the TFTAs. But it is too much and too uncontrolled IMO.

The Eterna and VB would be good choices, although I think they share a different kind of "bass-heavy" sound. With the Eterna much more lush and smooth, and the VB drier with more spikes in the upper frequencies.

For your preferences, the JVC FX1X may be up your alley for a pretty low price.

thank you guys.

unfortunately the tftas are out of stock. will give the jvc a try meanwhile as they're pretty cheap.

You are, IMHO, insane. What's your plan for enjoying music after hearing loss?

To each his own, I guess...

Check out the TFTA SE-2100 and the Hippo VB... outstanding bass and not very expensive.

If you want your earphones loud, there's always a volume level, but that may let others hear your music... there is a huge risk of hearing damage with high volume though.

You could get some double or triple flange tips to help keep it from other people, while keeping the volume low. Comply tips do this same thing well. It's your call with tips.
