How I chose my high-end headphones.... Almost!! (AKG, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser, Mbox 3,... - Page 2

Unless you're going for a separate headphone amp you should forget the k702. The amp on the mbox is very underpowered. IMO, the hd600 is more flat, and a lot more natural sounding, than the 702, but there's a slight roll off in the highs. You'll need a dedicated amp for those too. You might do a forum search for the Fischer FA003 or the Brainwavz hm5(?).  You won't need a dedicated amp for those, and they're supposed to be close in sound signature to the hd600. Maybe beyer dt800 Pros(250ohms) would work out of the mbox....not sure. They're supposed to be relatively flat with more highs than the hd600.

never consider the k702 , if you are not going to buy headphone amp for them .

read around they are the hardest to drive headphone out here ( leaving aside k1000, HE6 and some old orthos )
