There's something which I don't understand, and I'll appreciate your input.
Products such as the Wadia 171i transport, or Peach Tree iNova/idecco/MusicBox offer connectivity to the ipod interface that bypass the internal ipod DAC.
What's the benefit of doing that vs simply connecting an Apple TV via the optical interface to any of these devices, and streaming the music via Airplay?
I am assuming that doing the latter will also bypass the internal DAC of the ipod, and will send digital signal no?
Wouldn't that be more convenient/cheaper option than connecting the ipod to any of these devices?
