I am very happy I kept it. I'm currently A/Bing it with a Liquid Fire. It is holding up better than I could have hoped (save with the K1000 where it is clearly underpowered.)

I'll tell you this much - the Triple Stack seems to have more power than my Balancing Act. With my balanced LCD-3's I can turn volume up all the way to the top with the BA. It's loud, but listenable. The Triple Stack can blow my ears off with the LCD-3's. I'm liking the Triple Stack pairing with LCD-3 combo more and more with each listen.
So far only two criticisms: 1) The DAC doesn't seem to remember source setting when it's powered down. It defaults to USB, but I used coax, so I have to press a button every time I use it. 2) I really wish HeadRoom would use 4-pin XLR for balanced connection rather than dual 3-pin. 4-pin is so much cleaner than having a split on the amp side of the cable.
i also have a headroom amp and use it just about as much as, or more than, my other amps.
