IEM for Rock/Metal around 400$-500$ (I read a lot of thread- help me to conclude)

hi guys (sorry for my English writing)

I know there is a lot of threads  in this subject, but all of them are not in my price range.

I read a lot of threads but I can't summarize. I want to hear every instrument separately and with a great imagine tight and fast bass

I listen to bands like Dream theater and ... ;

on the other side I have Arrow 4G amp on the way.so I really want an analytical and natural headphone.

another critical factor that is important for me, is sound isolating of IEM (I use it on the road etysmile.gif )

after so many reading, I can conclude on of these can be most appropriate for me:

audio technica ath-ck100 , grado gr10 , westone 4R , phonak 232 ( so expensive for me)

I read this thread more than 4 times

http://www.head-fi.org/t/478568/multi-iem-review-214-iems-compared-jvc-ha-fxt90-and-ha-fx500-added-1-8-12

my prefer taste and signature of listening is best described in this sentences from that review of ck100:

"In terms of presentation the CK100 also holds its own quite easily against the best of the best. Though the soundstage is not the widest or deepest in absolute terms, instrumental separation, spatial positioning, and imaging are superb, especially in the midrange and treble. The forward nature of the mids results in a beautifully layered sound that works great with big band music and solo performances alike. Combined with the absolutely astonishing way in which the CK100 renders strings, woodwinds, and brass instruments this gives them an almost magical quality with string quartets and orchestral pieces."

I don't like IEM's like ex1000 or fx700, because of their poor sound isolation character or comfort or fitting problems.

thanks

Well it seems you know what you want and the ones you listed match what your looking for closely seeing how you have done your research, its basically up to you to choose. Personally I own the W4R which has great separation tight bass and a wide soundstage which you may also appreciate compared to the CK1000s.

Best of luck

Brainwavz B2s if you want something like the CKs...  Hm...  As for Westone 4R and Phonak PFE 232s (I own both), while Westones are technically better, the 232s give much better texture and punch, but do lose some clarity in comparison.  Imaging is also much better, along with a less strident high end.  The Westones excel compared to the 232s in the midrange in clarity and energy, they also have better detailing and energy in the treble regions.

thanks, I don't know whether or not ck100 is suitable for me, I just use ljokerl's review to describe my taste

so do you think westone is better for me? what's about gr10 or earsonic sm3 v2

For $500 you can get a quad-driver Heir Custom IEM. I'd take that over any universal any day. :)

thanks, I know it

But I can't buy customs from my country. if I lived in another country, customs were my only choices, but I can't buy a custom, so I want to purchase the best that I can. on the other way, if I buy something that is not suitable for me, I can't send it back and buy another. so the choice is very important for me. my last list is:

westone 4R (I read the dfkt's review about westone 4R, so it's make me nervous about capability of westone) ,

ath-ck100 ,

sm7 ,

and I don't know anything else
