Master if Puppets.
I actually don't like DSoTM a that much. I love Time, though.
i love quite all pinkfloyd early albums up to tdsotm, but i feel that their most apreciated and "affordable" music around the world is tdsotm.. ( not my favourite ) ..
could be i'm wrong , sure ..
as for metallica .. i thought some years ago that mop was not their most appreciated/afforable piece of music, but i'm changin my mind lately
... And Justice For All for Metallica. I don't think you'd find much argument about the best phase of Metallica being those three albums between 1986 and 1991 but for me "One" makes the difference. It's like Led Zep: there are several great albums but "Stairway to Heaven" probably gives IV the edge (even if Physical Graffiti is my personal favourite.)
With PF it's more difficult (by which I mean, there are a lot of valid choice that you could make an argument for) but I'd take Wish You Were Here before DSotM to illustrate that side of the band. When I was at college I traded my copy of DSotM to a friend for Meddle, which I think is also a better album. And I'm a Waters fan, so I'd definitely save The Wall and The Wall Part 2 (aka The Final Cut ) before I saved DSotM. I'm not so much of a fan on Animals or Piper, but I'm sure that there are people on these forums who rate them above DSotM.
my favorite , as for quite so many band i've run across ( and i've made up my mind up on this ) - is among the first materials they've trown out @ the world and the people - in particular is the piper at the gates of dawn
i really love and dig rough , birth material
as for metallica MoP , i've played Testament ( A New Order ) and other well known former trash metal band , less similar though , anyhow i can't find anything better then this ,,
and i would like to
this is the one i keep on turning my ears to ...........
I never really got the hype over Master of Puppets. It's an unpopular opinion, but I prefer the Black Album. In any case, as much as I like Metallica, they're far inferior to Pink Floyd as a band, and DSotM is far superior to any of the albums they've produced. JMO
