Do the Klipsch Image S4 need a burn in period and if so then for how long?

I just got my klipsch S4 in ear monitors and they seem bass light, I thought they were bass heavy like many people here are saying. Anyways do I need a burn in period and anyways what does it do?

You found them bass light?

Either you're quite an extreme basshead or you're not getting a good enough seal. When I had the S4, the bass quantity did not increase with burn in, but it did tighten up and sibilance decreased.

What do you mean by tighten up?

That must be it then. Without a good seal you definitely can't hear the intended bass quantity. I can't remember how many tips the S4 come with, but if none of them fit, you may need to find some other tips to try to get a good seal.

I mean it becomes more controlled than it was out of the box.

Yup, now I hear them more bass heavy now that I tried the larger ones

Glad you found the right size. Just remember a good seal is always important, unless for whatever reason you don't want so much bass then wear it with a more shallow insertion and loose seal.

Just in case you dont already know, the tips actually have a line on them that you line up on the earpiece.
