I have been a satisfied user of a MacBook in my headphone system but I am considering changes. I am going to start over using a PC which will be dedicated solely to audio. Music (over 3000 cds and lps) will be stored on an external drive. In the past I have converted CDs to apple lossless. I have liked iTunes but I am not stuck on using it. I want to store music in a way that maintains maximum quality. I want to be able to convert and store lps as digital files. I strongly desire a very simple user interface. Any suggestions and advice are appreciated.
