What to do, amp/dac

Hi guys, i currently own Grado 125i's and my portable cans are Panasonic RP-HTX7's

I bought a fiio E7 and L3 for my ipod classic and for my macbook/imac

Now i dont feel the fiio does anything for my panasonics and im not sure any amp will make much differnace to i want to get out of the portable area and just stick to desktop

My plan was to build an O2 as im a CompSci with electronical engineering student so putting a kit together will be no problem but i don't know what to do with regards to a DAC for my macbook/imac, i was planning to return the Fiio E7 and get something else just for the DAC but is there anything better (dac wise) for the price of the E7? (£50) i could stretch to £70 max (british pounds)

Cheers

You really can't beat the HRT Music Streamer II for the price.

bit out of my price range :/

i think im going to send my E7 back and get the FiiO D3 and save for a headphone amp,

problem is means when i get headhone amp ill have to keep switching the cable from the D3 between speaker amp and and headphone amp, unless theres a switcher you can get that doesnt degrade sound quality and thats not a total fortune?
