Ath M50: The New vs Old

Apparently there is a newer version of said headphones if im not wrong. So now im confused because most of the reviews done on the m50s were probably on the older version. Whats the difference between em?

Supposedly, one comes in a white box (the newer one) and has a more balanced sound with less bass, while the other comes in a blue box and is more bassy.  I can believe the claims, because I hear a lot of people considering the M50 very neutral, while I had the blue boxed one and it had more bass quantity than my D2000.

You don't find ones sold in blue boxes any more unless you are buying second-hand off someone.

 

It's all white-box M50's now. Let's just call that rev.2.
