Need opinions on Z-2300 serious upgrade...

First of all i would like to say hello, since this is my fisrt post. I have read many threads and i finally decided to join you.

As the title say, i currently own logitech z-2300 2.1 setup. I decided to upgrade to something of better quality with a max price of 400-500e. At the moment the speakers will be paired with a xfi titanium fatality pro. My main use is music/games/movies. I was about to order aktimate mini for 320euro but then i thought to ask you first. My other options are: Focal cms 40 (560e), Genelec 6010A (460e) - 8020BMP (600e), Krk rp5 G2 (280e). I have listed also speakers that cost more to consider if they really worth the double price over the minis. Feel free to suggest anything that slipped my mind.

I have a pair of Aktimates. I'm afraid I can't help you with the other options, but one word of warning about them: they are rear ported, so make sure that you give them some room from the wall or other surfaces wherever you put them, otherwise you are going to end up with some resonance and reflection issues that are going to mean you aren't getting the best out of them. Other then that, they are fantastic speakers.

Do you think 30-50cm is enough?
