So I finally replaced the earpads of my HD600

I've owned these cans for about 5 years and never bought new pads before today. I just had to make a new topic about this, I never expected such a huge difference in sound. Actually, I only expected a change in comfort.

Everything came back alive. Imaging is so much better, bass is better, everything is better. I wish I realized before how much the performance had dropped with the aging pads. Now that I look at the old pads, I notice the from has changed radically and they are distinctly different color regardless of regular cleaning.

Has anyone else experienced this? I highly recommend replacing old pads if you haven't done that before.

When I replaced the pads on my M50s after 1000 hours, I noticed a small change in sound. It's well-known that replacing tips on in-ears can alter sound (especially getting different tips altogether), but is a bit ignored in full-sizers.
