Looking for advice for upgrading to circumaural headphones

Hi, I've got a pair of Shure SE315 earbuds at the moment, and I'm looking to upgrade to a pair of circumaural headphones.  They'll be mostly for home use (so portability isn't really an issue), below $300, and used with and without an external amp (I can amp them, but how they'd sound unamped with my iPod is a consideration).

I listen mostly to dubstep and post-rock/post-metal, but with some jazz and classical too (though less frequently).  Particularly for dubstep the headphones need to have a good bass sound.  Also, I'm looking for a more 'fun' sound, rather than a clinical one, because I just want my music to sound good, not to analyze it.

I've been searching around the net for reviews, and the Ultrasone HFI-780s (among others) look particularly good - it'd be great if someone could give me their thoughts on these, or other headphones which they particularly like and match what I'm looking for.

Cheers!

Ultrasone HFI-780

Ultrasone Pro 750

Ultrasone Pro 900

Denon D2000

I'll let others add to that, though I would invest in a dac and amp too (at some point, you can make it a future purchase), it will really bring out the most in your headphones (with at least moderately high bitrate music).

Thanks, I think I've decided on the Ultrasone HFI-780s for their punchy bass.  Sorry for changing the subject a little, but I've decided that I may as well get a new portable amp too.  I'm tossing up between the FiiO E11s and JDS Labs CmoyBB.  Any thoughts on which amp would go better with the Ultrasones?
