My old cheap portable amp just died the E7 and while my current headphones, the denon ahd2000, do not really require an amp to run from my Ipod, that is the volume is sufficient for my ears, the soundstage is not as full. I know there is the E11 out there which is smaller then the E7. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a even smaller/thinner amp that I might be able to use.

This is a review of a pair of free IEM's I recieved from DUNU as part of a give away contest they recently held here on Head-fi. When I recieved my package the first thing I notices was...

Best closed headphones I had heard - very flat response, almost no midrange distortion, very easy to drive (good for portable), good soundstage (definately better than K240), good isolation, but...

Overall excellent buds, very good sound quality, especially for their price, the medium set of tips fits exactly in my ears and provides a near perfect seal. Bass is very detailed, but not...

I'll keep this very short. They are very smooth sounding. Treble toned down so not so good for rock but have a magic about them that makes them better than mark 2. I use them with a '89/'90...

iBasso D-Zero $110
However i recommend the E11. The E5/E6 are not really good amps for something like the D2K not to mention they are more or less the same depth as the e11. the E11 is just longer so it's not a problem. the E11 is also a much better amp than the E7 and should be bought. The D-Zero is less better sounding than the E10 which in terms of just amp sound. the E11 beats. for $65 with so many d2K owners buying an E11. u can't go wrong. all other slimer amps cost 4X that amount
Cost is not really a issue as long as its under $400 dollars and is as portable (small/slim) as it can get. While I am very familiar with headphones and desktop amps, I have never looked into portable amps until now because my new job has me traveling for about 45 minutes each way on a train.

hmm then maybe the pico slim. They are probably what you are looking for. however. me myself(yeah, bad english whatever) would rather save 700% and go with the slightly larger E11 :/ but then again. we are on an audiophile forum. every it counts i guess.
The nuforce icon HD and or nuforce icon Mobile are also good. i don't know anything about the icon mobile but the fact that it also has a DAC inside brings up some red flags for me as how it can even compare to an E11.
then there's also the T5 from ibasso. other ibasso's are too big and the D-Zero is slim, but not justifiable for it's price when the E11 beats it and is only slightly larger.
Top suggestions:
PicoSlim-$350-$400
Nuforce icon HD$350
E11 -$65
All 3 are extremely popular and are slim as it gets :/
