I'm currently using an e7 alone to drive my ATH AD700s and I have no complaints, however I'm wondering if investing in an e9 to couple with my e7 would make an improvement? I'm also going to invest in some ATH M50s later down the financial line. In terms of sensitivity and impedance they are quite similar on paper, so would a desktop amp like the e9 help these either? Both of these cans are quite low impedance and a lot of the research I've done so far has been quite inconclusive, some say it will improve sound quality and some say it will in fact degrade quality because of their low impedance. Could anybody possibly give me some clarification on this? Any other advice is warmly welcomed.
Thanks for your time,
Bam
