HELP: impedance for ipod no amp - skullcandy: mix master mike normal or kid robot

so i'm debating to get skullcandy mix master mike headphones(20) or the kid robot addition(100). the main difference is one has an impedance of 20 and the other 100. I own an ipod touch 4th gen with no amp. i looked all over but i still don't really understand how impedance works, so it would be nice to have a very simple answer. thx

You won't have trouble driving either one.

thank you XD

- will the 100 ohm be better quality?

Uh, 100 ohms will not be easily driven by an iPod unless it has extremely high sensitivity. Also, I somewhat doubt that the original Mix Master is a paltry 19 ohms. However, I'm no expert on impedance. I'd get the regular version just to play it safe, as I've never had a 100-ohm headphone (regardless of sensitivity) that I haven't had to amp.

High impedance =! sound quality, or even harder to drive. Given that it's skull candy, I doubt you'll more than minimal difference between the 20 ohm and 100 ohm headphones. Maybe some volume differences? But certainly not so much that your iPod won't be able to power them.
