Even with the difference, I dont have too much of a discernable ear to justify having a 200 dollar amp so im going to sell it probably, so you should be fine with just a udac

Not sure if the uDAC-2 is an improvement over the Xonar STX. According to an extensive technical review, it is not a particularly great DAC.

The Xonar STX has an excellent headphone amp, but its better for headphones with higher impedances (like the HD650) because of its higher output impedance (10Ohm if I remember correctly).

Dont bother with the uDAC2, its MUCH worse (in measurements and usability too).
