Do me a favor, pick up some "premium" interconnects from monoprice (they are super cheap, and have a good build quality)... I mean, don't sabotage the cheap cables by picking the worst possible cables. At least get nice cheap cables, ya know?

Also, be sure to try to get the volumes as close as possible.

I've got a heap of decent RCA's over here, an Australian brand named 'Signum' which seems pretty well insulated,

my old Chord Crimsons and heck even the Chord Cobra Plus which I use now ~ problem is comparing RCA to XLR ~

not too many pairs of those lying around.

My experience with power cables on my V200 has been null ~ had a Nordost power cable for awhile, did nothing for me,

however I have seen the very same cable apparently tame some highs on a pretty nice Luxman/Vienna Acoustic 2 channel rig.

Tested back and forth, there was a relief in treble harshness (Hotel California was the track) to be heard.

Still, I tend to think with cables, power or audio ~ most folk fall into two camps ~ those who believe it's all just

hot air and placebo and those that believe in it 100% ~ I'm in there somewhere sitting on the fence.

Sorry to bring this thread back and all, but I need some advice.
I want to upgrade cans, right now I'm thinking I want the 352's, but, from what I've read, they can be overly bright and rather fatiguing. Is this true for most people? In addition to this, what is the bass response on them like, I'm not by any means a bass head, but I do like to have a good supporting low end. For around the same price point, is there any similar comparison to these?
Thanks for your help!

Edit: I'm also considering the MS-2's and starting to lean more towards them, I've heard that their soundstage is greater, highs are toned down but they still have that Grado signature sound, any other major differences?

it sounds like the store you were at had just put them out for people to listen to.  I just got my pair today and have been letting them burn in all day, the bass has dramatically increased from when they arrived.

The 325i was fatiguing for me. It was especially sibilant, more so than any other Grado I've tried. It wasn't neccesarily lacking in bass - as far as Grado's go, any way. It wasn't worth the 300 dollars, though, that's for sure. The MS2's are a better 300 dollar Grado.

I disagree with some of the folks on here. I haven't owned many Grados. I was torn between the SR-225i and 325is. I ordered the 225i and they sounded slightly congested. Also, the build quality really didn't blow me away. I sent them back and got the 325is and haven't looked back. They are incredible, after break-in the sibilance and fatiguing highs went away. The bass is punchy and great without being remotely bloated or boomy. They are some rocking cans and with my Millet Mosfet Max, I regularly kick back and listen all night. Just my two-cents, and with the warm, tubey sound of the Millet, they sound AWESOME! Running off my iPod, they are a lot less impressive. If you give the 325is a shot, let them burn-in a bit. Turn the volume down, and get used to the sound signature. Once you are more comfortable with them (and they burn in) you will likely find them very pleasing. Additionally, they are extremely well made, from cable to cup, to headband.

Again, just my two-cents, and your experiences may vary.

I thing this is crucial, for all "volume bumpers" Grado sr325 will be a pain. But on low volume even with smallish soundstage layering is nothing less than amazing.
