Choosing between 

1. The Audinst HUD-MX

2. Yulong U100

3. Dr. DAC2 DX

4. Dr. DAC Prime 

5. Something similar..

 

My goal is the most neutral, transparent, monitoring sound possible.

For $400, you won't do much better than the HRT Streamer II and the Schiit Asgard.  Seriously.
