How to put a commercial headamp in a wooden enclosure?

I have the Lake People G100:

I want to put it in a wooden enclosure like this (inspiration):

Any piece of advice from the DIY-experts? The less fuzz - the better. Solutions are appreciated. :)

Humidors make nice cases at times and they are pretty much done.

You can make a case like that pretty easily, depending on how good your woodworking skills are.

 

It's just a square tube. You can make it with 4 rectangles of wood glued together. I usually cut oversize and sand down.

 

Here's one in ply, not as nice as the one you showed, but you get the idea...

You can make it better if you use bracing pieces (can be just a square or triangle glued into the corners) or glued and screwed, or with concealed pegs, dovetails, mitres, routed slots, etc.

 

You can think about some rails for the PCB to sit on, maybe you can re-use your existing face- and rear-plates, or make some new ones oversize to screw to the bracing pieces.

 

Don't forget some vents for cooling.
