Interestingly he has both the GR04Pro Updated Version and the Flagship Version, £39.78 & £73.79. That's a big difference!
I hope that I am high on their waiting list for GR06. My Creative couldn't choose a worst time to break, the CNY will slow things a lot. The price difference between Pro and Flag is almost double and I don't know if that's only because of the 50ohms IMP.

I was wondering, did he offer any guarantee or anything more for the phones? How long did it take to arrive?Quote:

To connclude i think vsonic did a stupit move with this name thing. The same mistake sunrise did with the xcited-xciting-Ie and whotever else. People get confused, the product loses its unique marketing focus an sellers try to get advantage. Vsls if this seller you are reffering he is actually selling the first simple version of gr04. The specs stated 24 ohm and as Mark brought to light the flagship-audiophile version has 50ohm. I dont know if the seller did it on purpose but he plays with words. saying they are the gr04 Audiophile iems making us confused.
EDIT: and a news gift for Mark! vsonic also names the first version of the gr04 as GR04 ‘Luxury Classic edition’
luxury, audiophile, flagship, pro, updated version, first version, classic.. Guys over vsonic certainly messed thing up
The one that I have found was exactly this that you have mentioned and also this one eBay who could probably be the same one selling on the bay. I would prefer to buy from an official dealer of Vsonic like lendmeurears and frogbeats, since I am not 100% confident on the quality issues of the product since it is a new one and you never know. For the same reason I prefer an European based seller since I am not into sending my IEM for replacement to Singapore, time and money matter especially for a product that cheap. Of course if anyone else knows any official dealers it would be useful for everybody, that way we won't flood the couple that we know!
PS Seriously Vsonic, make me your Marketing and Sales manager for 1 semester, seriously.

djvkool I think that we should prioritize our needs for the phones when they become available. First to be served those who need the phones and then those for the accessories! hehe

I've been a member here for almost 7 years and I was always trying to sustain myself from writing and asking about things that would drain my wallet. At that time though I bought my first iRiver, a couple yrs later Zen and EP-630 as a limited budget option. I am still at the same limited budget, more or less, but things have changed!

Thanks Mark.
I can't find anywhere in EU/UK the 6 so I was thinking to pull the trigger on 4s. I must admit that I would prefer more the warm rich "fun" sound over the natural. I don't need them for studio monitors so I would like some more taste in my sound.
Does the fact that they are an older model affect them in any means?
If I understand correctly the "Flagship" that you have reviewed still remains "Flagship".
The first R04 had a revision to R04 Pro then R04 Pro Classic and now R04 Pro Audiophily. I believe that all 3 "Pros" are the same model and the simple R04 is discontinued.
Judging by the seller's pictures the Audiophile have marked just R04 instead your Flagship R04PRO.
oh they have the most confusing set of names ever, its a best guess as the just what is what outside of the exact names of things ive used.

I don't remember if it's written elsewhere, but does GR06 have the bio-cellulose diaphragm as GR07 and (if I'm not mistaken) R04 have?
post #37 of 3132/8/12 at 9:35pmI know its kind of an old thread, but I just plucked my GR06 out of the dryer. They still work.
post #38 of 3132/8/12 at 11:11pmkind of old thread but how would these compare to the m3's? just curious because people said that the brainwavz m3's were balanced nicely.

off the top of my head (ie i cant be arsed pulling them out and checking) the GR06 is practicaly M3 quality but with more or less the M2 sound signature.

similar sound sigs, jazz a bit dryer but still warm. 6 is thicker and more liquid. 6 is better.

So far I find Jazz, just perfect for some genres, but a bit laid back for more "harsh" genres like Grunge, Blues-Rock, Garage Rock ecc.
If GR06 is thicker and more liquid, does it give you the "in your face" feeling?

How do gr06 or 04 compare to FA eternas?
post #45 of 3132/20/12 at 9:55pmI really wanted to fix my xcape ie and compare the two but i'm having the hardest time repairing them myself and getting no answer from head-fi for my problem here:
http://www.head-fi.org/t/593788/xcape-ie-6-wires-in-headphone-cable#post_8164170 among other problems like soldering really tiny wires.
out of box the vsonic's treble is so incredibly harsh. almost rediculously. it might just be because I've been only using a T50RP but I don't think I've heard headphones with this much sibilance. Did you notice this too and did it clear up with burn-in? or am i just crazy lol. it has nice bass though and ok mids. just upper mid and treble is bothering me like crazy.
