Sennheiser HD650 cable socket broken - repair viable ?

After many years and heavy use (have it since launch i think) the left side connection in my HD650 is broken.

The connection inside the housing for one of the pins on the cable plug seems to have been pushed into the housing after a recent cable change and it's not visible anymore.

An attempt to pop it "out" with a thin needle have failed.

Is this an issue that can easily be fixed by a more knowledgeable person or is it a better choice to buy a new one.

If this can be fixed relativily cheaply compared to a new one then that would be my choice.

Ok i seemed to have repaired it myself.

Popping the back of the cans off was quite easy, the little spring popped out of place.... popped it back again and all is well :)

Crisis averted :)

Good to hear.  Did you take any pictures of the experience by chance?
