Sony S615F test mode

I am very happy with my latest purchase a Sony S615F which only cost me £10 secondhand. The sound quality is beautiful as always from Sony but I feel the volume could be louder at the 25 to 30 volume level. I believe it was possible to remove the dreaded EU volume cap through the test mode. If this is possible how do I get into test mode? Please advise

 

UPDATE: I think I have the French model of the S615F because I did a factory restore and now the menus are all in French :(

I managed to get into the test mode of my Sony S615F. Unfortunately I was unable to change the SPSET from on to off. It is set at FR (which I presume means France) SPSET (ON) which means it has the dreaded volume cap. So it looks like the old Sony DAPS were only volume capped on the French models in those days.
