Hi, I'm a newbie to posting in these forums although I've had an interest in a lot of the topics around for a while-I hope I've put this in the right section!
I finally convinced myself to give all this go last night and purchased an AKG K240 mkii from a head-fier, I heard about it being a reasonable starter!
The person I bought it off suggested I get an amp to get the best out of it-since I'm a beginner I don't want to spend too much on one, (although I can see head-fi thinning my wallet quickly in the future!), I've done some hunting through the forums and it seems a lot of people recommend the Fiio E10 as a good sub-£100 amp for these phones, are there any others which could be considered or is the E10 a pretty good bet? I saw the review on headphonia for it and was pretty convinced until I saw the review for the E17, now I'm not so sure again, would it be a better 'investment'? =)
If it makes a difference, I listen mainly to classical and jazz but also to some folk, world and Japanese bits and bobs.
Thanks for any help!
Tim
