What are some main differences between HD600s and HE-500s?

Basically what the title says. I currently own HD600s and am interested in how the HE500s sound. HE4s would also be nice to know about. Maybe also in a more general way, what the difference is between "Sennheiser sound" and "HiFiMan sound"?

Thanks

There is a big difference. I heard the HE500s a couple of days ago for the first time and liked them a lot. More open sounding, very natural, no 'veil'. I've owned HD600 and Stax gear for along time. To me HE500s blend the best of both worlds.

I've owned HD 650's since 03 and the HE-500 are the first headphones I've found that I would rather listen to. Much more open, detailed, and deeper bass.

Downside is the cost, comfort, and they really need a powerful amp.

Running mine with a Bottlehead SEX 2.1 which is doing the job nicely.
