Read many threads but first post!

So I was originally going to buy the Zero DAC/amp because of the good reviews and cheap price, but apparently there are better things for around the same price now?

I live in the UK so unfortunately that narrows down the availability of amps a lot.

The amp will be driving the Goldring NS1000, period, and whenever I get around to it, the Beyerdynamics DT770 Pro (most likely the 250ohms as I've read that's slightly better than the 80ohms version if driven correctly?).

Price point around £100 but can go up to about £150 if it makes a big difference.

Not sure whether to go for just an amp or DAC/amp combo because I'm not sure which will give me the biggest boost in SQ?

Mainly for headphones, but also my speakers. I currently have the Xonar DX.

I read that the Little Dot MkIII amp is quite good but not sure of the benefits/drawbacks of tube amps and whether it's suitable for said headphones?

So some advice would be much appreciated!
