Pocket (or small size amps) help/recommendation?

Hello my friends, I bought myself the shure srh940 to try a new headphone experience, and to say the least I was truly thrilled with the sound until a good friend of mine recommended any small amps to take anywhere I think he said the Fiio e7 are they any good?? Are they actually that portable? Will the headphones sound even better? Any recommendations, to a new-comer in the audiophile world :))

The E7 is good, yeah. But one of its strengths is that it has a quality DAC built in, which would be wasted if used only with a portable player like an iPod. If you're going to use it with stuff like laptops and desktops as well as with portable players, it's a good option. If you're only going to use it with iPods and stuff, maybe get the E11 instead.

I've seen lot of report from people saying that E7 + SRH940  doesn't work well.

The srh940 are picky with the source.
