Does the Sennheiser HD 25-1 II's block out speech?

I'm a student and I live in the city, so I often study in public spaces (e.g. coffee shops). I'm new to the whole headphone thing, and after searching around the forums, it seems that the Sennheiser HD 25-1 II's would be a good choice for someone who doesn't want IEMs, but wants good isolation at a low price point ($100-$200).

Could anyone who owns a pair of HD 25-1 II's let me know how well they isolate sound? If someone were having a loud conversation next to you (say, on a cell phone), would you be able to hear them?

Thanks! Advice is much appreciated.

With music playing nope. I wear them inside the house. And my sister calls me on the phone to get my attention, that is after she's done yelling. That's when I turn back and say "What did you say?" bigsmile_face.gif
