Good pair of headphones for around $175

I need some good over the ear, noise cancelling headphones. I mean ALL noise is cancelled.

I am mainly using my Ipod Touch 4th Generation to listen to music, and from what ive heard, ipods reduce the sound quality somehow.

I am willing to spend around 175 bucks.

I listen to all types of music, from Metallica to Lil Wayne to Frank Sinatra

pretty much anything but Classical

Ive been looking around on yahoo answers/google and people reccomend the Sennheisers or Bose's.

any brand, whatever delivers the best sound quality, i dont care about anything but sound quality

So, what are some good headphones around 175 bucks?

thank you

I'm no expert in noise cancelling headphones, so can not recommend in that area.

Some have found noise cancelling headphone more a hassle then it's worth.

KRK KNS 8400 are closed headphones that have good reviews and go for around $120.

Take a look at the Ultrasone Hfi-780. These are great headphones! They aren't totally balanced because of the slight bass boost they have, but that's what makes these fun headphones. They are very clear but have just enough bass to make it that fun headphone that you'll love. The bass isn't overpowering at all. It's just good quality that stays as bass and doesn't bleed into other frequencies.

These can be driven well off of an iPod due to their low impedance of 35ohms.

Some say these can be uncomfortable but once you wear them for a while or stretch them out over a box for a night, they loosen up and don't squeeze your head as hard, problem solved.

I made a video review of these cans. If you wish to view it you can find it on youtube under the "Redrider469" user name.

Hope this helps!

You should be able to headphones for $200 or less, that match the quality of $300 Beats.

Not only match but well exceed the SQ of beats. These headphones have bass that doesn't overpower everything else, like beats, and everything is crisp. no "muddy"
audio. These are fantastic! $155 on Amazon fyi.
