For use in my office, I just bought a little Fiio E10 USB DAC/amp. I mostly bought it since my laptop's internal sound card is messed up but now I'm having the inevitable desire to tweak. One thought I had is that since it is USB powered, I wondered if it might benefit from improving the power supply. An easy way to do that, I thought, might be to wire a cap into a sub cable across the power supply wires. Before I try this, though, I thought I'd ask if people this is a terribly bad idea (like I might fry my PC or amp or something.)
