Help needed for Headphones, Ultrasone or Denon or something else?

Hello, I'm searching for a good pair of headphones. I have been searching a long time now.
I like a lot of bass, but also the treble is important for me. The headphones ar for using with an iPod without an amp.

I have read that Denon and Ultrasone have some good headphones. Which Would you recommend?

My father has also the Beats By Dr. Dre, but I think they are overpriced.

Do you know some good headphones between a price of 150 and 300 ?

I recommend the Ultrasone HFi-780. They have that good bass with the trebles that you like as well. These cans reproduce the music as it was intended to be heard. They only cost $150. If you're willing to spend $300 though, I suggest the Ultrasone Pro 900.

Would the Ultrasone Pro 750 also be good?

Denon 2000s are a great all arounder. I own the upgraded Denon 5000s. After turning these into open-back cans they have raised my standards on audio quality greatly.

But don't you get a lot of background noise with the open cans? I don't want to have a lot of backgroundnoises if possible..

You don't need to turn them into open back but I ended up preferring them that way.

D2000 are originally closed, but they leak a lot even for a closed headphone.

Yes! There are only some miniscule differences in sound quality from what I've read and have listened to. Some people, I think, don't care for the color of the 750s but if that doesn't bother you, either the 750s or the 900s are a very good choice.

If anything I think hes more concerned with noise coming in as opposed to noise leaking from them. But you are right they do leak a bit. And with the open-back mod I could hear a fly break wind (joke ;).

The HFI-580 or 780 are exactly what you're looking for.  Lots of bass (especially with the 580), lots of treble, they isolate you fairly well from outside noise, and play just fine straight from an iPod.
