FWIW, I'm using Brainwavz pads with my V6s. Almost a night and day difference compared to stock, and not just relating to comfort. The cans went from sounding peaky and shrill to ...well... pleasant, while maintaining its original (better) qualities. At their price, it's almost a no-brainer.

You need a VST host. Or try Equalizer APO.

Looks like the V6 is going to be retired. I will be putting them up on Ebay or Amazon soon.

I purchased the mdr v6s for 4 bucks at goodwill about a month back. I am enjoying them a lot, can't beat that price.

I think it's better to peel of the foam sheets off the original pads (thery're held in palce with glue) as pictured here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/94836/sony-mdr-v6-7506-beyer-pad-mod-with-pics-lots

Hey all, I'm not sure if you can post links from eBay on the for sale forum, but I'm selling my V6's as I no longer use them.
