I purchase wherever I can get the best price and I know the retailer is reputable. Last headphone purchase was a few weeks ago from jr.com. It's actually one of the few online stores that show up as an authorized dealer on Audio-Technica's website. (not sure why so many online stores are missing from the list). They shipped very fast and without hassle and for free. They have a new free shipping plan you can sign up for free. They also sell via Amazon but you have to pay shipping usually if you buy via their Amazon links.

Amazon is great and I use it a lot. But in my state Amazon collects sales tax. Beach Audio, The Sound Professionals and Sweetwater were all excellent as well with no sales tax.

Can't they test at a Mediamarkt or something like that then buy it on internet? That's what I sometimes do... Else go at Keymusic in Belgium at Herentals? I do not know where you live but any big music seller will have headphones to test out. 

Which other options do we have here in europe? i know only a few retailers here. 

I'm also looking for retailers in Europe (BELGIUM)! Pixmania seem ok (Klipsch S4 only 52.99EUR at the moment) but not a big selection.

I'm from Belgium as well, there are quite a lot of shops around since we can order from Germany, France, UK, etc.

I usually use thomann.de , magie-casques.fr , rueducommerce.fr , topachat.com , expansys.be , redcoon.be + all amazon (can always find a cheaper deal by going to .de / .co.uk / .fr :D)
