Cmoy help!

Hey guys. Just a quick question. Could I use thinner leads for the jumpers especially the M jumpers? I am currently using a 20 guage wire to complete the other jumpers.

Is it alright if the caps are floating in the air a bit?

Thanks!

Yes on the leads. I usually use 24 ga hookup wire. Also, most people just use the cut resistor leads for doing the jumpers (any of them). There is so little current involved in this (and most) headphone amps. 20ga is massive overkill.

20 awg is a bit overkill for an low power headphone amp, i usually use cat5 cable or resistor leads.

It is OK to have stuff hanging but you need to keep in mind that you want to keep the input and outputs as far apart as possible (assuming that you are building it from scratch)

I am just using 20 ga for the jumpers. The panel wiring I am using smaller gauge wire that is more than one strand.
