They probably sound awful with music, but I have noticed in most movies or TV shows, the same headphones used for any helicopter pilots that may be depicted....They have a certain shape to the outside cups....rather large, plain looking and rounded.....Does anyone know the particular make and model that are usually used in aviation?....I have seen the same ones also on small plane pilots. I would imagine they have some sort of noise canceling given the environment they are used in. They probably are optimized just for speech, so they probably sound pretty bad for music, but am curious as to what those headphones are.....

I think most of the helicopters I've flow in have had green David Clark headsets in them. I haven't flown in a helicopter for a while (ten years or so), so things may be different now.
