Aurisonics Impressions and Reviews - Page 53

Yeah these phones definitely need time. I wasn't impressed out of the box but recognized their potential off the bat. You get the clarity and soundstage right of the box, but they can be strident and the base was noticeably anemic on my pair. About 30 hours in now and they are much smoother, and bass has shown up to the party. Haven't felt the slightest need to look back at my SM3s either, and that it the best compliment that I can pay Dale and Aurisonics. I can't imagine life without these things any more

If you don't hear bass (deep bass) I would say that you don't have as good of a seal as you think you do (can't be shallow or too deep). And I wouldn't recommend judging these off of the stock tips.Play around with the seal. It will eventually shine through for you.

I'm wondering what you guys mean by bass...

What levels of bass we talking about here?

-Westone 2 levels?

-Se535's levels?

-PFE112 levels?

-MG7 lvls :P?

Bass and soundstage are 2 of the most important ones for me....

Hey Eric, I'm getting SM3 level bass; which is quite nice indeed. I realize it is likely a tip issue so I'll need to procure some more to play around with.

I really think I have to buy the Sennheiser double flanges. What frustrates me is that I gave them away with some cheap IEM :s

IE8's had no bass for me...neither did the IE7's.

They sounded hollow. (not due to fit)

I can't relate to the FX700's either.

None from that list :(?

I'm slightly tempted due to the reduction price...

My problem I have is...if I buy them, and don't like them...who will actually buy them...its almost impossible selling earphones people don't know about.

Dude, I think with comparisons saying it outstrips HF favorites like the FX700 and SM3, it's safe to assume that people are GOING to know about them.

I agree with Eric and shotgunshane, my daily drivers are IE8 and TF10 and the ASG-1 plays much deeper and tighter. I felt they had the best sub bass of any IEM I have have heard to date. More like a high end servo controlled sub compared to a ported sub.

TotalDubbed, I sold mine within hours of posting in the FS Forum.
