Level-wise yes, the bass was still a bit pushed back by the mids to my ears. Prominent but pushed back.

By the way, anyone notice the Aurisonics website is down?

Got my aurisonics in today.  When I first opened them... I was kind of like... "I cant stand this sound signature..." its starting to grow on me.  I like how the mids are upfront. The hardest thing I found was getting a fit! Ill post a review soon.

Anyone with the ASG-1, and having problems with the fit?   I got my Aurisonics custom molds today, and I can say perfect fit and sound.  The molds are white silicone, very supple and easy to get a seal.  The bass is the best I have heard out of the ASG-1, and the rest of the sound spectrum has improved with more dynamics and detail....highs get better as well!  For those not interested in a CIEM/AS-1, etc, these custom molds are very well worth the investment.  I can use them on my other IEM's as well, and IMO they improve the sound of every IEM that I auditioned with them!  In the past, I have tried 100's of tips from different manufacturers on my IEM's (I don't work for Aurisonics)....the Aurisonic Custom Molds up the level of sound whenever used!  I like Custom Universals!

I'm deciding between Aurisonics or 1964Ears for custom sleeves for my ASG-1.  I love 1964Ears (did a fantastic job with my Quads & reshelling my DBA-02) & I have no doubt Aurisonics will do just as well.. cute, what was the turnaround time from Aurisonics receiving your molds to you getting them back?

Caught Aurisonics at a bad time.....ordered them right when the ASG-1 got hot with headfiers.  Dale told me 2-3 weeks from the time they got my impressions.  They were so busy at the time, I just got them today!  Took eight weeks, but the white silicone is very nice and supple!  I have sensitive ears, didn't consider customs at all, but these molds are fantastic!  I think if you email Dale, he can give you a lot better turn around.  Love the sound with the molds, they make every IEM better by alot!  I had about $400 in tip purchases the last six months (trial and error, lots of errors), never again. This is the way to go, they don't ship when you sell your IEM's!

Do remember, that 1964 needs the IEM's to make the sleeve, but Aurisonics, having made the ASG-1's, will not. That's something to think about. As well as when You send your molds to Aurisonics they will have them digitally scanned so you can call up or email them anytime in the next 6 months (so they are not really old impressions which may be inaccurate) and get new sleeves or order custom ear plugs or whatever the next offerings are from Aurisonics.

Cute, do you still have the GR07? Could you test it with the custom mold, please?

Sounds good.  Fit was semi-difficult for me, but I got it down.  It's also essential to having any good sound.  Let them burn in, they change a bunch :)  Can't wait to hear your impressions, then your formal review :)

I did have a small fit issue, but figured it out quickly.  I would assume fit may be harder to get with custom tips (orienting the tips may be a little hard maybe :p).

Haven't had the GR07 for a while, but a friend has used the Aurisonic custom molds on his TF10 and FXT90, very positive results.  I have had mine on my W4R, BA200, Brainwavz M4 (really good with the custom molds), and RE272 (the bass on these with the custom molds is as good as any IEM).  Anyone else having custom molds may be able to chime in after trying them with different IEM's.  I have had nothing but positive results on my end......more than satisfied, and well worth it to get Aurisonics Custom Molds!

Really?? Isn't the W4's tube way skinnier that the Aurisonics? Is the bore small at the opening, but can be stretched?

Well. I just got back from a 28 mile bike ride.  Ears are a bit sore, which is understandable for that long period of time.  The isolation on the ASG-1's is utterly FANTASTIC, they are on par with shure and etymotic no doubt.  Today in Illinois we had 30mph wind gusts, and I can happily say that they blocked out EVERY bit of wind.  At first, I hated the sound... It's quite uncolored, and a bit dark(after my fxt90's and the piercing treble... I don't mind a dark sound signature...:D) the uncolored signature Is the sound ive been trying to find after getting rid of my MG7's.  In the 1 and half hours that I listened to them, I felt like they changed... The bass is perfect, and its the kind of punchy, noticeable, but not overbearing bass... Its the texture of the bass i've been dying for, which is a completely 100% realistic simple bass bunch. The mids... Well... I found them very harsh and very upfront at first.  The harshness is starting to die away a bit, and I felt like they stopped overpowering the highs at the end of my ride.  I actually feel like the mids are starting to become more lush than anything.  The highs are not sparkly by any means, but they aren't GOD AWFUL as some of you claim.  If anything, I feel like the mids overpower the highs and it just becomes a hot mess.  Although the highs are quite rolled over at times, I still feel like they are kept in a realistic proportion.  With the upcoming announcement of the filters that are supposed to douse the mids a bit.  I feel like if they sell the asg-1's stock with the filters, they will have one of the best IEM's out there.  Its their first product run...  There will be bugs as always.  In the future I'm sure they will address the whole accessories issue.  One thing Id like to see with these.  Is a totally new kind of foam(IE: Something like the shure olives.), and some appearance options, which I'm hoping by july I can add a backplate to it:D

Delladood,

I told you to try them before you go ahead and sell them didn't i? :)

Glad you are enjoying them bro!

What about fit wise?

Comfy, i presume after the biking?

And yes isolation is one of the best I've heard.

I mean.. I have SUPER tiny ears.  The shure's gave me hell, they just hurt SO bad.  These were actually okay..  They fit pretty deep into the canal which I guess assists the whole isolation aspect.  I found them comfortable actually.  Bottom line... I love them... Instead of selling these, I just took my money and invested in a pair of er4-s. So now I have two fantastic headphones:D
