Nice one mate

Let us know how you compare it to your other IEMs you own.

Yup. Will do that maybe next week to give some time for break|burn in. I am actually liking it specially on tracks where that 'shoutiness' is not evident.

BTW, I am not sure if it was mentioned before but I am wondering how come the ASG-1s are not vented O_o

No idea about venting

But yeah, was not expecting them right now broski! Was just sayin' :D!

Shoutiness is evident (for me), when there was a female singing - for example listen to halo by Beyonce.

Just listened to halo through my monoprices as they are a nice place to start. I then switched to ASG's and as the intro started all the details were so much nicer and their was something extra everywhere. Its nice. She starts singing and its all fine until it hits the chorus, i would by no means say its unbearable but its the only point were the mono prices sound nicer as their bit more relaxed.

EDIT: Just realised i don't listen to a to of female vocalists and if i do they are quite controlled, while watching halo i followed a link to the new Jessie J song laser light and their was just one point she shouts really loud and i was briefly uncomfortable, the rest of the vocals are nice though, in fact amazing! But male vocals are so much more lush and they just are something else!

spot on :)

Monoprice will sound more coloured too though. Even though they lack detail - they will be more V shaped.

The ASG-1's will sound more flat

I don't think the mono prices are V shaped, they have tremendous mids that are defiantly very present! just having a little beatles a/b session!

sorry i guess I'm saying that wrong.

I mean in comparison to the ASG-1's they would "appear" V shaped.

Ok i can agree with that and it is really made apparent but the ASGs laid back highs!

I think that applies to most of us, I'm gonna write a gigantic review once the AS-1b arrives comparing filter/no filter and ASG-1/AS-1b

That is true ( well different shape as these are so comfortable for me!), we are hearing the earphones the same but enjoying them completely different in which the ASG is a prime example off! However i still think i would love the MG7s, maybe not to the extent you do but still a lot! I do appreciate a earphone that can deliver some good sub-bass! The ASGs don't do a half hearted effort at it either!

ASG-1's do a good job - but don't come close bass wise to the MG7's, nor MDT's in mid-bass.

not really - most people don't hear what I do in earphones, only a very few do (of whom I have found so far)

Agreed here, i was talking to someone on this thread about UE SF3 and we couldn't of felt any more different about the sound we got out of them, he seemed to love and i am far from impressed!

And no I'm not being a bum lick :P
