Aurisonics Impressions and Reviews - Page 10

Hmm, definitely going to wait on it a bit more now for the reviews and comparisons between the customs and generics.

According to Dale, the universals are 70-80% of the sound of the customs. Mainly due to the better coupling provided by the customs to the shape of the ear, it is supposed to provide better transmission of the speaker movement (Sub Bass?) Though with the current price difference, I'm not quite certain about the quality gain/$  though 20-30% does seem like quite a bit.

The ASG-1 looks fascinating.  Waiting for impressions!

I am a dealer in Canada (Toronto) and am thinking of offering this product...really interested in your reviews to co-incide with my own. Of course the ear kits aren't great...my suggestion is go to a local audiologist and get some ear impressions done professionally for $50-$70/set. Also, the AS1-b will cost you an extra $200 so total cost for customized will run you around $650-$700....still might be a really good price if they stand up to good reviews? If i offer them, I will retail for $600 plus tax. That will include professional ear impressions, etc in case anyone is in the Toronto area and interested.

Let me know what you think.

cheers.

Mine shipped yesterday so I hope to have them in tomorrow. Will update as soon as possible.

I can say that Aurisonics has impressed me already - they have a very unique process by which they design and manufacture the product, so I'm hopeful that the sound is on par with my expectations.

I actually liked their DIY impression kit though - easily as good as the one you pay $20-something for (after shipping) through the Earplug Superstore. They even give you a flashlight!

Mine shipped out today. Not bad as I think I ordered them Monday or Tuesday (the ASG-1 that is). On a side note, since I know some what a comparison on the bass, I'm really impressed with joynetcafe out of Japan. They shipped my Sony XBA-4 On their Tuesday (our Monday in the states), Feb. 7, and I have the EMS package right next me today as I type. Four freakin' days from Japan by EMS? That lets me know that our postal system can do what it wants to do. Why does it take twice or triple as long with EMS out of China? Anyway, I haven't cracked the Sonys open yet, but will be putting impressions up somewhere (not here) when I do. I'll write something here when I compare them to the ASG-1.

Seems like a few of us should have them in the next few days then. Impressions are sure to pop up quickly.

Hey Head-Fi'ers! I know you're all very excited to hear these bad boys but I wanted to give you guys a quick heads up if you're considering ordering. Since Aurisonics is just now touching on some marketing and getting these out there, they are slightly overwhelmed with orders and there is about a 2 day lead time at the moment before shipping.

Springtree has a stocking orders on the way as well so we can ship out the same day you order once we receive our stock (sometime next week I expect) via FedEx.

Hope you guys enjoy these as much as we did here at our facilities when we demoed them a few months back.  I'm not allowed to post what our discount price on these is as it is against the manufacturer agreement but feel free to email or call me and I'll give you guys the hook up!

Thanks for all of your support of Springtree and very much looking forward to your reviews. I'll update this thread when I hear news from Dale at Aurisonics about any new models coming out (I've heard Dale is working on a dual driver model but it is not ready yet as he's still tweaking and experimenting). Let me know if you guys have any questions I can help answer!

Got the tracking from Matt early today for my ASG-1.  Cool that he delivered it via Priority.  I should receive it on Saturday at the earliest.  I'll post immediate impressions, then after 100hrs compare it with the mg7 and my Livewires Trips.
