oh and how does the clarity on the ASG-1s compare to the GR07s?

i know there has already been a comparison between the two, but FWIW there wasnt a comparison on clarity.

good question - no idea here.

Should beat it by a mile due to the fact the ASG-1 is designed for on-stage monitors.

Could be wrong however!

Yes, the GR07 was designed for stage monitoring also, and I hold it as one of my favorite universals out there. In particular, it renders drums and percussion instruments in a beautiful natural way with sonic clarity.

It doesn't compete, however, as a whole against the ASG-1 from the standpoint that the sound is quite 2-D compared to the 3-D reproduction of sound inside of the ASG-1.

As far as clarity, I would have to give the nod to the ASG-1 again, but I need to do more extensive A/Bing before I can comment further on this. There are sonic details in guitars and drums (depth, weight, separation of instruments and notes) that the GR07 just can't reproduce to my ears. Again, this is nothing negative against the GR07, as I still think it is a fantastic IEM.

What would be interesting:
yamas vs gr07 vs ASG-1's

@dubbed, I already compared the GR07 and eph-100. I think they're more of a sidegrade to each other than anything else. The EPH has more pronounced bass slam, and more space between instruments, while the GR07 has better treble and instrument realism/timbre.
