Best Closed Back for Rock

First post so be gentle with me smily_headphones1.gif.

For some time I have been using Grado SR80i's quite happily and I use them with a Fiio E5 when using them with my iPod - quite happy with them for the mainly rock music I listen to when the environment is ok for open back.

However, as everyone knows, they leak sound and I have been looking for some really decent closed back cans.  Tried the Audio Technica ATH M50's and liked them without buying and was bought a pair of Ultrasone PRO 750 for Christas.  Sonically quite happy but found them really uncomfortable and also one of the detachable ear pads kept, well, detaching.

So I am just after some pointers as to what alternatives I may consider in looking for excellent clarity with excellent bass also.  I have around £300 - £400 GB Pounds to spend and have looked at the Audio Technica W1000 and W5000 although that would be stretching it a bit?

Any other alternatives or are the ATH M50's really the best I will get without spending that amount?

Look forward to reading any views.

If you're not looking for a portable headphone, the Denon AH-D5000 are very for rock. They do well with pretty much every genre and have the excellent bass as well.

Sorry I meant to add they don't need to be portable and I will take a look at the Denons. Any other suggestions?

I heard the Fostex T50RP and the Shure SRH940/840 are pretty good closed headphones but I can't be sure because I've never heard them.
