Thanks... maybe you could help me out. I returned the Ultrasone DJ1 pros and I'm now looking at trying Ultrasone HFI 580/780's or Beyerdynamic DT770 Pros... any thoughts? Given I liked the sound signature of the K518s

 

I guess I'm like the OP... like my K518s but have some cash and looking for something a bit better.

i only have experience with DT770 pro 80ohm and they are very detailed, with sharp/bright highs, slightly recessed mids and big bass, but controlled. They are good, but are big and bulky. They are a good buy, very well built.

Good for electronica, not so good for rock, because of the mids. Also soundstage is really good for closed cans. And they are super comfy.
