Hm. HDJ500+320kbps AAC or flac. Yes, 320kbps AAC. That being said, K-ON does a great job of making my darker HDJ500's sound bright as heck.

I've been using my DT990 600 ohm exclusively for over a year now, but I just picked up some HD600s.  They have been getting all my ear time lately.  I still love my DT990s, but I'm not putting down the HD600s for a while.

X-Fi Titanium HD -> Onkyo TX-SV515PRO -> Stax SRD-7/SB -> Stax SR-Lambda (Normal bias, rebuilt drivers).

That said, my current chain is X-Fi Titanium HD -> Stax SRM-212 -> Stax SR-202, at least until I get that Lambda set sold or traded or something, because I can't be bothered to break out that huge receiver again. It's not bad by any means, but I actually prefer the sound and fit/comfort of the older set somewhat.

Ideally, I'd have an SR-Lambda in stock condition and something like an SRM-1/Mk2 or SRM-T1 to drive it, but that will have to come later.

PC-Onkyo Tx-8555 stereo reciever-KRK KNS 8400 headphones. The KRK KNS-8400 i picked up a week ago sound great with a very complete balanced sound on all spectrums. They remind me alot of speakers with excellent vocal clarity and instrument separation. They play all genres well and are also fantastic for games like Tes V Skyrim bringing all the subtle sounds i usually dont hear with other headphones. These may very well end my fun search for the headphones of my dreams.

Omega 2 Mk1 has been 90% of my listening over the last few years. Yes, I'm spoiled. Rigs have varied with a Neko D100 Mk2 or Resolution Audio Opus 21 as source, and amps are Headamp Blue Hawaii, Stax SRM-717, or a SRD-7 Pro transformer box with a pair of tube monoblocks.

Don't really miss most other headphones to be honest. I can't wear IEMs anymore though so it may be time to think of something portable. And heretical thoughts of SR-009, HE60, HE90, or SR-Omega do keep popping up with annoying regularity.

I've been hugely impressed with the  Sony MDR-Z1000's.

So much so that I sold my AT M50, and I'm about to sell my Ultrasone HFI 780.

IMO they don't hold a candle to the Sony's, though to be fair the Sony's are somewhat

pricier.  They're well worth their cost, though.

I picked up some near gear recently. I got a CTH Rev A amp as well as a v4 Magnum with mohagany cups and it sounds pretty damn good. I'm going to pick up some HD414 pads later for some more comfort and then enjoy the music even more :)

JRiver Media Center>E10>Denon AH-D1100.  Loving the low end of these (and so comfortable!); don't see alot on Head-Fi about them. Should I ditch my M50's?

I am loving my Audio-Technica ATH M50 I got just before Christmas. My first headphones that aren't no name inner-ears or stock crap. I love it with my iPhone 4. Luckily I have been ripping every CD I have into Apple Lossless since it was available, so I was ready for the upgrade. I also like the Panasonic RP-HTF600-S I picked up after recommendations on here.

Koss Pro DJ 100

I've been using these for at least 2 years now and have been raving about them ever since. I've been through maybe 5 pairs (experimenting etc) and every time I listen to them I'm still "Wowed" by them. This is THE headphone that made me believe you don't need to spent a ton of money to get good sound. You just have to get lucky.

I actually drove 2 hours (1 hour there and 1 hour back) to pick these up when they were new. Who would have thought they'd be my favorite?

The sound signature isn't for everyone, but for me it has my near perfect sound signature. It's fairly rare to have a slight bass boost, forward mids and still have good treble. It still manages to sound balanced and non-fatiguing.

My only complaint is the stock pads (I use M50 pads) and how the sound seems to vary too much between amps/sources. It can take some work for them to "Wow" you with their sound. It's sound for me is just very engaging. Perfect for female vocals too. Kind of has the mids of an SR-225i, but with a lot more bass and less treble.

Yes, some of my other headphones are technically better. As a closed  headphone the only thing that has come close to dethroning my DJ100 as a favorite is the KRK KNS-8400.

Sounds good from a Sansa Clip (yet not with the Fuze?!) or an Ipod Touch + E5 (no LOD!!?).

Too bad it takes about a week to be at it's best. I guess it's due to it's titanium driver.
