I've had the Denon AH-D2000 for around ten months. The stock headphone cable is atrocious; it constantly tangles and curls itself, and now the cable sleeve is ripping open, exposing the interior. When I move the headphone cable around now, it affects the sound. Only when the cord is placed in a certain position does the full sound come through.
I'm looking to recable these phones, but I don't have a ton of money to spend. What are some cheap ways to recable? Is buying a cable and doing it yourself too hard (I've never soldered, but I could ask a friend to help me)?
