Whats the best quality Over-ear headset?

I was thinking about beats but after some research I have found that they are considered good but extremely overpriced,brittle and "muddy". The v moda crossfade lp headphones were a consideration aswell as some bose but im not sure.

 

I'll let you know what im looking for. I want a heavy base but I don't want it to take away from the trebblel and or whatever else is an aspect of the sound quality. Im focused more on comfort, softness, and sound. It doesn't matter much to me what it looks like.

 

I listen to Raggae, Rock, Punk, Metal, Classic Rock, Ska, Dub, Dub step, rap, Jazz, Progressive, Piano, and Funk. So I would like a headset that would do Justice to all of these genres.

 

My price range is between $100 - $400

 

Any help is greatly appreciated

If you can afford it, pro2900 should meet your needs.

 

For less, also D2000 or for much less HFi780.
