Fullsized Headphones for Hard Rock/Metal - Page 2

This was my first thought as well when reading your question.  If you can live with open phones, these would be very good for rock.

After wearing them nonstop for 3 hours after I received them I noticed that the channels were wired backwards on the headphones. I got to reading up on here about fake M50's and I'm starting to think this pair is fake...

They're good fakes from what I can tell (grey logo on the headband and correct logos on the back of the drivers) but the headband stitching doesn't look quite right and there's some dips/voids where the padding isn't sufficient. Plus once I opened them up they looked like this, without the white pad

Sorry to inform you bud, but yours are definitely fake. They have green board. Check this thread http://www.head-fi.org/t/513866/has-the-fake-ath-m50-arrived/255 Alot of people getting fakes, i would suggest buying only from trusted resellers which are listed in audio technica's website.

Yeah that's the thread that made me realize they were fake. Pretty irritating as they were supposed to be legitimate B-stock headphones. The sound quality wasn't all that bad honestly, but they didn't sound like $150 phones either.
