Looking for DAC used w/ Crack and HD-650

Hello,

 

  As the title states I'm looking for a DAC that would be used with a laptop usb out to dac, to Bottlehead Crack then to HD-650.  I also have Grado SR-60 and looking to get the HE-300.

 

  This will be my first DAC, top side would be $450.  My currently list consist of Maverick Audio D2, Music Hall 15.2 and the Bifrost.

 

  Any help for a noob would be great and any other products within the $450 price range is welcomed.

Im pretty much like u, need a dac with k701 and matrix m stage and I got a bifrost yesterday

Don't let the back order scare u, it is only a few days delays
This doesn't mean the others are not good at all, it's just the bifrost sound signature looks promising to me.

i haven't received it yet but i don't plan using usb from it, i will use toslink via my laptop since i have one. maybe hook up a spdif to my future cdp.

i'll let u know how it turns out.

Also just thinking if I should get a usb to spdif converter.

Loll me too waiting impatiently

But dontnget the spdifmto USB or vice versa. I think its the worse idea I ever heard
